About our bot

We run a daily check against every listed site's homepage to verify two things: that the site is reachable, and that the required backlink is still in place. If the bot is causing trouble for your site, this page documents what it does and how to whitelist it.

User-Agent

What it requests

A single GET to your listing's declared homepage URL, once per 24 hours. We parse the HTML for an anchor pointing back to our directory. We don't crawl beyond the homepage.

What we do with failed checks

  • Backlink missing on a reachable site → day 1 email notice, day 3 auto-hide. The listing stays in your dashboard and auto-restores when the backlink returns.
  • Site unreachable → silent days 1–6, day 7 email, day 14 auto-hide, day 60 marked abandoned. Restores when the site is back up.

We respect robots.txt for the User-Agent above. If you block us there, your listing's backlink can't be verified and will be marked nofollow.
